I am excited to join the ORCC team and to provide individual counselling, group counselling and psycho-education for folks/survivors in the Ottawa region!

Therapy and especially trauma therapy is an act of vulnerability, to recognize this bravery I strive to help create a space that is client-centred and non-judgmental. I am a registered social worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I have a Masters of Social Work from Laurier. I have over 8 years of experience providing social services to individuals, youth and families with much of this time providing care for those who are survivors of sexual violence or violent crimes. I meet individuals where they are in their journeys working from an anti-oppressive and ant-racist lens recognizing too often wellness is only available to those with varying privileges. I am grateful to be part of great multi-disciplinary teams like that at ORCC that challenge these systems and provide barrier-free mental health care.

My practice is informed by Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), the principles of harm reduction, Art-Based Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Mindfulness-Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (M-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
