Therapy and especially trauma therapy is an act of vulnerability, to recognize this bravery I strive to help create a space that is client-centered and non-judgmental. I am a member in good standing of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). My experience as a practitioner has been with a number of unique populations including survivors of human trafficking, precariously housed individuals, individuals seeking harm reduction tools, 2SLGBTQIA+, survivors of gender-based violence and youth. I meet individuals where they are in their journeys working from an anti-oppressive and ant-racist lens recognizing too often wellness is only available to those with varying privileges. My practice is informed by Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), the principles of harm reduction, Accelerated Experimental Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
