As a Registered Social Worker (RSW) and Psychotherapist in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), I bring over eight years of dedicated experience in working with and supporting survivors of violence. My commitment lies in cultivating a therapeutic space that seamlessly integrates psychological expertise, cultural sensitivity, and spiritual alignment, acknowledging and honoring the unique intersectionality of each individual's journey.
With a specialization in trauma-informed care and Islamically Integrated Psychotherapy (IIP), I draw from several evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
My approach is client-centered, and strengths based, grounded in the belief that every person possess the innate resources and resilience to navigate life’s challenges. Building a foundation of trust and empathy is paramount in my work, as I view collaboration as a fundamental aspect of the therapeutic process. My goal is to inspire my clients, guiding them to leverage their strengths and inner resilience to overcome obstacles and achieve their desired outcomes.
I am deeply committed to providing a holistic, personalized and culturally sensitive counseling experience that resonates with the diverse backgrounds and needs of my clients.
