Mikaela holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Feminist Studies from the University of Ottawa and a master's degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Saint Paul University. As an Indigenous therapist, she values culturally responsive, trauma-informed care and recognizes how intersecting identities, lived experiences, and social contexts shape each person’s mental health and well-being.
Mikaela believes that every individual is unique and that therapy should reflect each client’s needs, strengths, and experiences. Her approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing. She has experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder (BPD), religious and spiritual struggles, life transitions, and grief. She is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space where clients feel seen, respected, and empowered in their healing journeys.
