I hold a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Psychology (with thesis) from the University of Windsor and a Master of Arts degree in Counselling and Spirituality (with thesis) from Saint Paul University. I am a Registered Psychotherapist in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, with over three years of experience as an Addictions Counselor and Case Manager in the addictions and mental health field.
My passion is to support individuals from diverse social, religious, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds. I use various therapeutic modalities to develop open, non-judgmental therapeutic relationships with my clients. My approach is client-based, emphasizing client autonomy and empowerment, and I tailor my approach to each individual's unique needs and goals. I integrate techniques from multiple therapeutic modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Logotherapy, and Solution Focused Therapy.
